Code of Ethics
Here at MAHAK “the society to support children suffering from cancer”, we have adopted the following ethics statement recognizing our accountability to our patients, families, employees and community:
1. Commitment to our mission and vision: We have been committed to supporting the mission and vision of the hospital since the early years of founding the charity.
2. Dedication to the values of transparency and accountability in all aspects of operation: we adhere to these vital values by upholding the highest level of code of conducts.
3. Provision of facilities and treatment to all patients and their families without discrimination: all patients have equal access to our services and facilities regardless of race, creed or financial ability.
4. Compliance with International Standards: MAHAK gained the Société Generale de Surveillance (SGS) Verified Certificate of NGO Benchmarking in November 2007,being the first non-governmental organization in the Middle East to do so.
5. Financial accountability: Because of our bi-annual and annually published reports, the public and MAHAK staff can be aware of the generous contributions from our donors and sponsors allocated for treatment expenditures and health care services.
