The registration center for donating hematopoietic stem cells was inaugurated on July 23, 2017, at MAHAK as the result of a joint CSR project which was introduced at MAHAK’s 4th International Congress on Corporate Social Responsibility.
This center is based on an MOU with the private sector aiming to eliminate one of the key challenges of the process of stem cell transplantation which is covering the expenses of registration and HLA typing of 5000 donated samples; an excessive process not only for MAHAK’s center but also for other national and international alike centers.
On the ‘World Marrow Donor Day’ which is marked on September 16, we would like to appreciate the contribution of more than 1600 people who have registered at MAHAK’s registration center for donating hematopoietic stem cells. We, at MAHAK are fully aware of the role of up-to-dated treatment methods according to the global standards for cancer-stricken children passing their treatment process.
Accordingly, we appreciate all those who strive to provide the most efficient and updated treatment methods for cancer-stricken children through their ongoing support with no expectations.
